Finding a hotel
Due to the proximity of the European Parliament, European Commission, business district and a multitude of public administrations, there is a great multitude of hotels around the conference venue.
Because the conference venue is located close to Brussels north station and several metro stations, the conference is also accessible from hotels or hostels further away from the conference venue. Attention : the metro and railway systems close for the night.

Attention: It turns out that the IMA conference coincides with a major event in Brussels on July 1st and 2nd: a concert from K-pop sensation BTS in the national football stadion. This seems to lead to an unprecedented demand peak for hotels in all of Brussels, which is causing very high prices and a shortage of available accommodation in the city. Solutions:
- Hotel rooms remain available in Brussels near the conference venue, see the list below or the usual platforms.
- We have secured about 35 rooms/studios on campus. See below, more information following soon.
- The conference location is very well connected by public transport, so even hotels in nearby cities feasible. Please contact us if you have questions about accessibility.
1. Hotels in nearby cities
The BTS concert in the national football stadion is causing an exceptional demand surge for hotels in Brussels. Fortunately, Belgium is a small country with a dense public transport network, and our campus is located at a less than 10 minutes walk from Brussels North Station, and 15 minutes walk form Brussels Central Sation.
We recomment taking a hotel room near Antwerp Central Station, because of the frequent train connection between Antwerp and Brussels, and the possibility of catching a late train, well after midnight. Information about the train connections can be found here.

2. On campus student housing
We have managed to secure about 35 rooms/studios in our student housing during the conference. These come in 3 categories:
- Basic room (shared bathroom) - €80/night
- Premium room (private bathroom) - €110/night
- Studio (private bathroom and kitchen) - €125/night
Please note that this is an emergency solution, and that these rooms do not offer the same comfort as a standard hotel room. Priority will be given to PhD students and participants from low(er) income countries.
Each room is approximately 16 square metres and includes a single bed (bed linen provided), a large desk, and a wardrobe. Shared facilities are also available, including kitchens, common rooms, and terrace. The accommodation is simple but comfortable, ideally located in the heart of Brussels and only a few minutes away from the conference venue.
